Proposition 6

Independent business people should not be singled out to pay an unfair tax on their personal vehicles.

Texans for Tax Relief encourages all Texans to vote for Proposition 6 to ensure that individuals such as an independent home builder who drives his own truck between home sites or an insurance agent who uses her car to drive to appointments no longer face this possibility.

On Nov. 6, look for the following proposition and vote for Proposition 6!

"The constitutional amendment authorizing the legislature to exempt from ad valorem taxation one motor vehicle owned by an individual and used in the course of the owner's occupation or profession and also for personal activities of the owner."
